The Curley?s Corner convenience store and gas station along U.S. 41 south of Punta Gorda, was destroyed by fire Tuesday evening. Charlotte County firefighters arrived at the store around 7:45 p.m. to find the entire one-story wood structure and roof erupting in a vast blossom of orange flame.
